Becki Lewis

Becki Lewis was born and raised here in Pittsburgh. She has been playing the violin for over twenty years, and she is currently the violinist at Calvary Full Gospel Church. She also plays the piano, viola, and flute and has been trained extensively in music theory. She studied with the accomplished Linda Andersen, Rick Choura, and Karen Dietrich. In addition, she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Duquesne University and her Director's Credential in Early Childhood Administration from Point Park University. Becki has been teaching piano since 2001, and has taught for several years in the classroom as well. Her passion for children and music make her music studio thrive.

Claire Zavolta

Claire Zavolta is a first-year graduate student and fellowship award recipient at Carnegie Mellon University where she studies under Pittsburgh Symphony’s Principal Clarinetist Thomas Thompson. She completed her undergraduate studies in clarinet performance at Grand Valley State University, under the creative direction of Dr. Arthur Campbell while holding positions in the orchestra, wind ensemble, opera orchestra and various chamber ensembles. Her 2015 season engagements at Carnegie Mellon will include performances with the orchestra, wind ensemble, the opera orchestra and local performances with her chamber group; The Onslow Piano Sextet.

A passionate music education advocate and teacher, Claire gained valuable experience working with young children while sharing the gift of music during her years with Gymboree Play and Learn. In addition, she has taught private and group piano, clarinet, and saxophone lessons in her home state of Michigan at Oakland University, Notre Dame Preparatory and the Rochester Conservatory of Music.

Claire is looking forward to beginning a new musical adventure by teaching the art of music to her students at Kingdom Care Learning Center. *Claire holds current clearances.

 

 

 

Devon Jackson

Piano, Guitar, Voice. Devon Jackson started his journey in music when he was just 7 years old. During that time, he has studied and played various styles of music. Devon had the pleasure of studying under the retired head of the piano at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Dr. James Staples. He has also studied under Dr. David Ed from Sewickley as well as Charles Wilson. Devon minored in music at IUP, and played various recitals and concerts through out his college life. He is currently the Pianist for the band Escaping Destiny. *Devon holds current clearances.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Johnathan Snatchko

Piano, Voice. Johnathan Snatchko is a recent graduate of Duquesne University, holding a degree in Piano Performance. During his time there, he took many courses in Piano Pedagogy and tutored many music majors in fulfilling the piano requirement needed of their degrees. In addition to his academic work, John has over 5 years of teaching experience and has taught students of all ages and skill levels. His personal philosophy when it comes to learning a musical instrument is that regardless if the student intends on being a professional musician, something can be benefited- music helps form a more well rounded individual. *Johnathan holds current clearances.
